Croydon and Hounslow named the safest places to be during a zombie apocalypse

We’ve all woken up on a Wednesday and thought ‘I can’t bring myself to go into work’. Well imagine you’ve woken up and looked out your window – and you’re forced to phone your boss and say ‘I’m really sorry but I can’t come in today, there’s a zombie apocalypse outside.’

Do you think they’d believe you? Most likely not. They say being in large groups is the best way to survive something like this – so who’d be in yours? More importantly, you’d have to establish the best place to go and get resources.

And don’t pretend there aren’t any people who you’d like to see get swallowed up into the abyss. On the off-chance that doomsday arrives, experts at RantCasino.com sought to establish the safest spots in the capital.

Croydon is one of the safest places in London to be should there be an apocalypse

It conducted the research using the number of cemeteries in a borough. According to the research, there are three boroughs in London which – in the unlikely event of a catastrophe of biblical proportion – you’re stuffed if you live in. South London’s Southwark is the number one death zone.

Residents might simply won’t be able to survive, with a staggering 267,818 potential zombies roaming around their streets! Number two goes to The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea aren’t safe either, with a potential 200,289 zombies with 16,173 zombies per KM² – talk about densely populated!

The City of London isn’t safe either and could play host to 11,654 zombies. With 101 cemeteries in the city, there is a 106 per cent zombie-to-population ratio, making it a highly unsafe area to live in if Doomsday occurs.

Next is Hounslow, with 2,243 potential undead. With a slightly higher zombie-to-population ratio of 0.83 per cent but a smaller population count, it is one of London’s safest boroughs in a zombie apocalypse.

But it’s not all doom and gloom – there are also boroughs where you definitely want to be should society descend into chaos. The safest London borough is Sutton, with ‘only’ 1,926 living-dead affecting this borough. With only eight cemeteries in Sutton, you’re 99 per cent safer here compared to Southwark, officially making it the safest London borough to live in!

Croydon, you may only come across 2,388 potential zombies, with a 0.61 per cent zombie-to-population ratio. Next is Hounslow, with 2,243 potential undead. With a slightly higher zombie-to-population ratio of 0.83 per cent.
