Couple turn old circus wagon into tiny home
Frankie Lord and Olivia Dann, both 28, spent months transforming an old circus wagon into a home on their farm in Penn, Buckinghamshire.
The renovation cost them just £5,000, and means the couple now have a tiny home complete with a double bed, a kitchen area finished with a hob and kettle, and even a shower and toilet area.
The project took them four months to finish and now they use it to stay on their farm during the week.
Frankie, a farmer, said: ‘My father had bought the old circus wagon for £2,000 about a year ago.
‘It sat in our yard for a while and over lockdown I decided to transform it into a tiny home.
‘We absolutely loved taking on the project.
‘We would definitely do it all over again.
‘My oldest school friend, Philip Reed, and I are now planning to create a tiny home out of as many incredible weird and wonderful things as possible.
‘The wagon is more of a stationary build. It can travel if it needs to but we’re just happy having somewhere lovely to stay on the farm.
‘Before building the wagon we lived in a very small log cabin on our family farm. Unfortunately, we still don’t have full planning permission so haven’t been able to live in a real house for around ten years now.
‘It’s just been really nice to have a little place that we can call home.
‘The response has been absolutely incredible. We posted some photos on van life on Facebook and received almost 1,000 likes for the finished project.’
