Cottage featured in Midsomer Murders goes on sale for £950,000
A thatched cottage that featured in Midsomer Murders is now on the market for £950,000.
Well Cottage, a Grade II listed property is located in Long Crendon, a pretty Buckinghamshire village that has appeared in the ITV crime drama many times.
The cottage was used in a 2010 episode called Blood on the Saddle, an episode centred around a Wild West Show and rival farmers.
The 17th century home has 1,601 sq ft of accommodation with an entrance hall, living room, dining room and kitchen downstairs. Meanwhile, three bedrooms and a bathroom complete the upstairs.
With timber beams and leaded windows, it has kept many of its historical features.
It is located away from the road with an enclosed front garden and the rear garden is mostly lawn with mature planting.
A garage lies to the side of the house and the space above it has been converted into a music room.
Thanks to its picturesque location, Long Crendon has been used in at least five episodes of the popular crime drama.
And not only is it visually beautiful, the village is a community and has a range of amenities.
Samuel Lamb from Knight Frank, the agency selling the cottage, said: ‘Well Cottage is positioned in an exceptionally good position in the popular village of Long Crendon.
‘The house itself is very pretty and packed full of history and charm.
‘Being one of the oldest and most recognisable houses on the High Street, only enhanced by its appearance on Midsomer Murders, the property is completely charming and a fantastic opportunity for the future buyer.’
