Coronation Street’s Rebecca Ryan gives birth and shares cute baby name
Coronation Street star Rebecca Ryan, who played Lydia Chambers in the soap, has given birth to her first child.
The actress announced the happy news and revealed she has named her newborn daughter Aurora.
Rebecca took to Instagram to share the first photo of her little one, who was pictured sleeping on some fluffy blankets while dressed in a striped babygro.
The soap star captioned the snap: “Welcome to the world my beautiful baby girl Aurora.”
Rebecca’s Coronation Street co-stars and fans rushed to the comments section of the post to send their well wishes to the new mum.

Elle Mulvaney, who plays Amy Barlow in Corrie, congratulated the actress by saying: “omg. the cutest. so so happy for you.”
“Huge Congratulations, she’s beautiful,” Julia Goulding, who plays Shona Platt on Corrie, added.
Rebecca first revealed she was expecting her first child in December 2022.
The actress welcomed Aurora with her husband, Dan Acraman.
Rebecca told fans in an Instagram post at the time, sharing a snap of herself displaying her blossming baby bump.
The star, who landed her breakout acting role in Channel 4 series Shameless before joining Corrie, cradled her bump in the photo while wearing a sparkly dress.
Standing next to the couple’s Christmas tree, Rebecca captioned the post: “I thought this year couldn’t get any better after marrying the man of my dreams.
“Turns out it can, can’t wait to become a mummy in 2023.”
Just a few weeks before announcing she had given birth, Rebecca gave fans an update on her pregnancy.
The actress posed on her bed in a bralette and black trousers, as she rested her hand on her baby bump.
Rebecca captioned the post: “3 weeks till we meet you little one I am so in love with you already,!
“Hurry up baby, I can’t wait to see your little face and spend the rest of my life protecting and loving you with all my heart.”
