CONFIRMED: Bulls ‘thrilled’ Sbu Nkosi is safe and sound | The Citizen

Springbok and Bulls wing Sbu Nkosi has been found in Mpumalanga, apparently at his father’s house.

Nkosi had been missing since 11 November when he was last seen at a Bulls training session.

The 2019 World Cup winner was the subject of a police search after the Bulls, and family members, were unable to track him down. He was declared a missing person at the police on Sunday.

Phone calls to him as well as searches at his last known address ended without any success.

The Bulls said in a statement late Monday that they were “happy to confirm that contracted player Sbu Nkosi has been found safe and sound.

“After lengthy and extensive efforts from the Bulls, in collaboration with SSG — who have gone beyond their commercial responsibility — at 2.02pm on Monday, 5 December, Nkosi was located.

“Once it was established that Nkosi was safe, unharmed and in a position to speak, CEO of the Bulls Edgar Rathbone went into Nkosi’s home (with the permission of the player), spending alone time with him, to understand how best the company can provide him with the support he needs and what that support is.

“As the Bulls family we are thrilled that Nkosi is safe.”

The Bulls thanked the community, locally and internationally, for their efforts in searching for Nkosi.

They added: “At this moment we cannot give further comments on the matter.”
