The “Coming to Fore” exhibit of artists Romina Batino-Stiffler and Mierro Castrillo at the Gateway Gallery has ended but left a lasting impact.

The exhibit of contemporary art was testament to the transformative power of creativity.

Romina, who found her passion for art at age 50, featured her car wash series of works, among others. She revealed that the works were actually photographs taken from her window.

Romina has drawn attention outside the Philippines as the highlight artist at the Trumbull Art Gallery in Ohio last January. She was also selected as one of the resident artists of the Boomer Gallery in London for a 12-month residency program. Her works will be featured in Boomer for a year.

The Gateway exhibit also featured sculptures by Mierro Castrillo, son of the late monuments builder Ed Castrillo.

Art connoiseurs interest to know more about Romina’s work may contact her through the roamingromina.art website and roamingromina.art Instagram account.

More information can be obtained about Castrillo’s work at the Castrillo Legacy Art Studio Inc. Facebook page.
