Andy was known for performing with improv group The Comedy Store Players, where he guest starred for over 13 years, becoming a permanent member in 1995.
Before joining the Players he was one half of the Vicious Boys with Angelo Abela.
He regularly performed at The Comedy Store in London twice a week up until his death.
Several other comics remembered Andy today, with Milton Jones writing: “Upset to hear this. Few seem to manage to enjoy life both on and off stage as much as he did. Sorry to his closest. I’ll miss his grin.”
Rufus Hound added: “Absolutely heartbroken. There will be others that will speak of his talent, but simply one of the great MEN died. A lust for revelry in all forms, there’s less light today. Will be drinking to him tonight. What a lad.”
Andy is survived by his wife, actress Victoria Willing, and their daughter Grace.
