CoD: Warzone 2 – How To Unlock Free Rise Up Weapon Blueprint On Vondel
Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 includes the brand-new Vondel map, and there’s a secret Easter egg you can complete to earn the free Rise Up weapon blueprint for the Lachmann Sub. Here’s everything you need to know in order to claim this free cosmetic for yourself.
How to complete the Body Scan Easter egg
Find the backpack
To start the Body Scan Easter egg, you’ll want to land on a specific rooftop. A backpack will randomly spawn at one of a few different locations, and you’ll need to interact with it. It’s also best to complete this with a teammate watching your back, as you’re completely weaponless and vulnerable for a brief time.
All known backpack locations:
- Fire Dept – Found on the southwest portion of the rooftop sitting on a blue tarp
- Police Dept – Under the stairs of the rooftop helipad
- Mall – On the southern portion of the rooftop leaning against a vent
- Market – On the rooftop near the UAV tower and sitting next to a ladder
- Castle – Found sitting in the window sill in the top of the northwest tower
- University – On top of the parking deck roof level in the western corner near the spiral ramp
I highly recommend just dropping Fire Dept each match. More times than not, the backpack was at the Fire Dept, whereas the spawn rate at places like Castle seemed really low, in my experience.
Scan and decode
Interacting with the backpack puts a phone in your hand, and it will generate four coordinates on Vondel’s tac-map. Unless you have a photographic memory, you’ll want to have your phone handy to snap a quick picture of coordinates. The phone disappears pretty quickly once it provides the coordinates, so snap a picture because you’ll need to head to all four places on the map. You can always interact with the backpack a second time if you need another peek at the coordinates.
Once you have your random coordinates, open up your tac-map and find the specific quadrants you need to visit. At each location you are looking for a piece of paper with a circular code that needs to be decoded. All of these are found underwater in Vondel’s canals. You don’t even have to do any actual decoding here, you just need to interact with the piece of paper and you’ll begin scanning the code.
The hardest part of this is getting all four codes in the middle of a battle royale match, and hoping the circle doesn’t collapse and eliminate where you need to go. On the brightside, this Easter egg doesn’t reset if you die. Your coordinates remain the same and you can continue decoding after you respawn.
Note: Unfortunately, there were a few times the code wouldn’t let me interact or scan it, so sometimes the paper is bugged and you’ll need to abandon the quest until your next match.
Open the encrypted crate
Once you have all four locations decoded, an encrypted supply crate will land on the map. This gets really dangerous because it’s marked for everyone in the match to see. The crate drops really slowly, so this should give you time to safely reach the drop location on the map. Similar to how loadout markers are marked with red smoke, this special encrypted crate has a bright pink smoke.
You must open this crate to complete the Body Scan Easter egg quest and unlock the weapon blueprint for yourself. You don’t need to use the weapon or win the game, you simply need to be the one opening the crate. Text will pop up to confirm you completed the Body Scan quest, and then the weapon blueprint will be unlocked for use.
Of course, this also means this could lead to an easy strategy if you spot the pink smoke from someone else completing the quest. If you’re the first one to open the crate, you can complete the quest without having to do all the legwork.
This Easter egg doesn’t seem to be available in DMZ, so you’ll need to attempt this in battle royale. For an Easter egg that can be completed in both battle royale and DMZ, check out our full guide for the Vondel stuck door Easter egg. We also have a recommended loadout guide for Warzone Season 4.
