In the footage, the woman can be seen sheltering from a downpour while she waited for a bus.

The video then cuts to a shot of the woman zipping up a pair of waterproof shoe covers.

A caption over the video read: “The best $10.97 (£8.61) park bag essential, especially in the summer months.

“[These] reusable waterproof shoe covers, [keep my feet] 100 per cent dry, even in the puddles! I’ve used them for multiple days.”

In the comments, she added some more details about the plastic shoe covers.

She explained how they come with slip-resistant bottoms, so people avoid sliding all over the place.

While the soles have stopped her from slipping around, she acknowledged that they can wear down quickly and need to be replaced.

The video has had more than two million views with users flocking to the comments to share their gratitude.

One person wrote: “I have the Vessi shoes and wore them when it was pouring down rain at Disney and it kept my socks and feet dry”

Another added: “Oh I have the pull-on versions, the best purchase ever!”

Someone else wrote: “This is genius, I’m ordering them for my trip this weekend.”

While these exact versions can’t be shipped to the UK, Sun Online Travel found other waterproof shoe covers for as little as £9.99 on Amazon.

One mum revealed her secret trick for getting hot meals at theme parks for less than £1 per person.

In a bid to save money, mum-of-two Lucy Evans made hot dogs for her family using a flask of hot water.

Lucy told the Sun Online Travel: “Basically, I’ve just been trying to find ways to save money on days out.

“I got the hot water from a coffee shop in Legoland. I took the flask up to the counter and asked them to fill it up there.

“I also had quite a few people mention filling up the flask at home, but I didn’t want to leave them [the sausages] sat in the water for seven hours.

“But it was so easy, I put the hot dogs in the flask about half an hour before lunch.”
