Classic Ford Capri sat rotting on a driveway for 25 years up for shocking price
A FORD Capri left rotting on a driveway for 25 years is up for sale on eBay for a shocking price.
The cream 1977 Ford Capri is located in Cumbria, but you won’t be driving it home if you have the winning bid.
The eBay advert reveals that the owner of the Capri sadly passed away, meaning it was left motionless for years.
As a result, the MK2 Capri Ghia is in a right old state and is being sold as ‘spares or repair.’
The vehicle is still registered but doesn’t come with a V5 document, so a replacement document is needed to retain the vehicle registration number.
However, it does come with a receipt when it was purchased from its only previous owner in 1978.
The Capri’s bodywork is beyond repair but the seller reckons there are plenty of parts left.
The advert states it has ‘a full set of alloy wheels, a full set of green glass, rear lights, an uncracked dash, dials, driver’s door mirror, steering column and locks with a key.’
However, the seller does admit that they are ‘unsure of the mileage as I don’t want to open the car door in case it snaps in half!’
The Capri is currently at just £800 on its eBay auction and there’s no reserve.
The auction was shared on the Facebook page ‘Classic Fords For Sale’ where it has attracted hundreds of comments.
One user wrote: “Just wants a quick polish and hoover out then will be better than brand new.”
Another said: “I don’t think a forklift is needed for this one, I’ll collect it with a dustpan and brush.”
A third commented: “A drop of T-Cut and it will be fine.”
