The Board’s timetable has been released a week after the SC refused to comply with a plea requesting cancellation of semester-II exams for CISCE and CBSE.

CBSE semester-II theory exams will begin on April 26. Schools can start taking semester-II practicals from March 3 till 10 days before the beginning of the theory papers.

Fr Rodney Borneo, principal of St Augustine’s Day School, Shyamnagar, said, “The timetable is well-paced. Students have time to prepare, and since fear of pandemic is drifting into the background, schools are able to conduct practice sessions with efficiency.”

Thursday’s CISCE circular stated “the timetables have been prepared keeping in mind the dates of various competitive examinations”, like JEE. The state HS council is considering a change in the schedule after exam dates have been found to be clashing with JEE dates.
