Christine Quinn branded ‘Voldemort’ by ex Selling Sunset co-stars after exit
Christine Quinn definitely hasn’t been missed in the office by her Selling Sunset co-stars, judging by their brutal nickname for her.
Season six of the hit Netflix program premiered on Friday, after what feels like the longest wait ever, and dropped fans right back into the drama of the Oppenheim group.
The new episodes were slightly different as the mom-of-one was nowhere to be seen, having confirmed her exit after the fifth series aired last year.
Most of her colleagues weren’t that fussed about her absence, with Amanza Smith and Heather Rae El Moussa calling her ‘Voldemort’ in the third episode.
Popping into the home Chelsea Lazkani was preparing to show, talk soon turned to the peace that had draped over the office since Christine’s departure.
Amanza asked her colleagues: ‘How much do we love that Christine is not back in the office?’
Chelsea, who was pally with the fashion icon, insisted: ‘We had our own little camaraderie and our own vibe. I’m really sad about it.’
‘You can still have a relationship with her outside of the office,’ Heather said. ‘But I think just for happiness and a breath of fresh air, we go into the office now and there’s not this tension.
‘I feel like we should have almost like a nickname for her. “She who must not be named.”’
Giggling, Amanza continued: ‘Voldemort?’
‘I feel like that could be Christine’s nickname,’ Heather laughed, as Chelsea said: ‘I’m going to call her Christine, you guys can call her Voldemort…
‘Obviously, everybody apart from me got burnt by Christine and I saw how that affected the dynamic in the office.
‘I don’t want that to happen again.’
Christine starred in the first five seasons of the real estate series, and was a divisive figure with viewers, thanks to some of her catty remarks and savage stirring.
After she left the show last year, she vowed that she would never return to the O Group, and instead got to work on her own company.
She also insisted that she wouldn’t be tuning in for the new episodes, despite still having some friends in the cast.
‘I have my girls that I absolutely love, and I’m so supportive of them,’ she told E! News.
‘For me, I don’t think I’ll watch the show just because I want to know them for who they are and not what they’re edited to be,’
Selling Sunset is available to stream on Netflix now.
