The mum of three bravely decided to have the BRCA (breast cancer gene) test herself after her mother Joanne, was diagnosed with breast cancer during covid. Christine’s results were negative and her mum is now in remission.

Other celebs in attendance were former TV presenter Anthea Turner, glamour model and reality TV star Nicola McLean, Big Brother contestant Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace and television personality and columnist Nadia Essex.

Electronic violinist Linzi Stoppard wowed guests with her rendition of Last of the Mohicans. Tallia Storm had guests dancing to urban tracks including her new song, Boyfriend, and Strictly Come Dancing’s Joanne Clifton performed with dancer Josh Lay.

An emotional speech from Gaia Wise (daughter of Emma Thompson and Greg Wise) saw her pay tribute to her aunt who died of breast cancer.

After encouraging the crowd to all get checked, even if the symptoms are not the usual ones you read or hear about, she was made an Ambassador of the Pink Ribbon Foundation.

The honour presented by Lisa Allen from the Foundation was a complete surprise to Gaia as she thanked the charity for all the hard work and dedication to many.
