Christian Eriksen ‘hours’ away from Man Utd transfer decision
Christian Eriksen is reportedly just ‘hours’ away from making a decision on his future amid Manchester United’s interest. The Reds are eyeing up a deal for the Denmark international, who is available as a free agent this summer as his short-term contract at Brentford draws to a close.
Eriksen joined the Bees back in January as he made his return to action following his cardiac arrest at last summer’s European Championships. The 30-year-old has drawn plenty of interest, having made an immediate impact upon his arrival at Brentford.
Thomas Frank’s side went on to win seven of the 11 games Eriksen featured in as they comfortably secured another season in the Premier League. The Bees are believed to have made a contract offer to try and retain Eriksen’s services, although they face competition from United. Both clubs though could soon get an answer as to where the midfielder is heading this summer.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (via the Daily Star), a decision will be announced in the coming days, or even hours. Eriksen’s former club Tottenham are said to have backed away from a potential deal, which could leave United battling it out with Brentford for his signature.
Elsewhere, reports in Brazil suggest United have agreed a deal with Fulham for the newly-promoted side to sign Andreas Pereira. The midfielder’s future has been up in the air for much of the summer, with a move to South America having seemingly fallen through.
Pereira has spent the last year on loan at Flamengo, and had looked set to make the move permanent as reports suggested the club’s chiefs had agreed a deal with United. A deal has not gone through though, leaving the 26-year-old set to return to the Reds this summer.
Pereira’s loan is set to end on Thursday, but reports in Brazil suggest he has now found a new club. According to UOL Esporte (via the Express) Fulham are set to win the race for his signature, with United set to receive £11m as part of the deal.
