Chris Brown slammed for expletive-filled rant after losing Grammy

Chris Brown, 33, was nominated at this year’s Grammys for his studio album Breezy which was released in June last year. The singer seemingly underestimated his competition as he lost out to pianist Robert Glasper, 44, and lashed out at the musician over social media.

Although Chris was not in attendance last night at music’s biggest night of the year, he made sure to let his followers know he was tuned to the awards virtually.

The singer wrote in a since-deleted chain of Instagram stories, coupled with screenshots of the news, saying: “Who the f**k is Robert Glasper? Ya’ll playing.” following by a string of laughing emojis.

While the singer was likely joking, fans didn’t see the funny in his comments and created some backlash towards the musician across social media.

On Twitter, followers were quick to share with Chris just who Robert Glasper is.

One wrote: “Somebody who has a Grammy this year and not you. You would probably win a Grammy if you stopped making 30 song albums.”

Another added: “Robert Glasper is a talented guy and he deserves the win!! Take that Chris Brown.”

DONT MISS:

One even claimed that followers were “pretending to know who Robert Glasper is” just because they “hate Chris Brown so much”.

Some fans supported the singer, with many adding to the discourse that Chris “deserved to win” and pointed out that Robert was undeniably less well-known than the Ayo singer.

Robert also seemingly hit back at the singer’s retort, sharing a fan-created image on his own story which mirrored the one Chris posted, with some text changes.
