Chito Miranda auctions off old shirt, puppets to raise funds for Parokya Ni Edgar guitarist
Aside from fund-raising concerts here and there, Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda does not stop in looking for ways to help his friend and colleague guitarist Gab Chee Kee who was diagnosed with lymphoma.
Fortunately for Miranda, he’s found several items that he deemed may be considered by fans as collectible items, and which he on his Instagram page on Wednesday
“Look what I found,” Miranda said in his caption of four photos, one showing off the white polo he wore during a music video, two puppets, one photo showing him wearing the while polo and a poster which shows off the two puppets.
“Naghanap ako ng Parokya stuff na pwede i-benta to help out Gab and his family, and found these sa cabinet ko sa bahay ko sa QC,” he said. (I looked for Parokya stuff which can be sold to help out Gab and his family and found these in my cabinet in my house in Quezon City).
Miranda said the white polo was the one he used in a music video for Bagsakan and shared that Gloc 9’s polo was already sold for P80,000.
“Nahanap ko din yung puppets na ginamit namin sa ‘Halina sa Parokya’ album cover. (Si Mr.Suave, at si Chito Matsing),” he said. (I also found the puppets which we used in ‘Halina sa Parokya’ album cover, [it’s Mr. Suave and Chito Matsing].)
“Baka may interesado kumuha….please let me know sa comments section sa baba. Bigay natin sa magbigay ng best offer (There might be those who are interested to get it… please let me know in the comment section below. We’ll give it to whoever will give the best offer),” he said.
As of 4:00 PM of Wednesday, Miranda said the white polo, which has a design of three stars and sun in the pocket, already fetched a sum of P110,000. Bets for the set of two puppets, meanwhile, reached P35,000 as of 7AM of Thursday.
Chee Kee just recently underwent surgery to treat his lymphoma, and he was visited by his bandmates on Valentine’s Day to cheer him up. EDV
