Chiefs WAGs celebrate New Year Eve’s together after AFC West title win
The new year is already looking bright for the Chiefs and their favorite fans.
To ring in 2022 on Friday, quarterback Patrick Mahomes and fiancée Brittany Matthews celebrated New Year’s Eve with his teammates, tight end Travis Kelce and safety Tyrann Mathieu, and their significant others, Kayla Nicole and Sydni Paige, respectively.
“2022, the year I get to marry you,” Matthews gushed on Instagram, where she posted a photo of herself kissing Mahomes.
Mahomes and Matthews, both 26, announced their engagement in September 2020 and welcomed daughter Sterling in February 2021. Matthews, a personal trainer, recently enjoyed her “queen of hearts”-themed bridal shower with both Kayla and Sydni.
In addition to Matthews, Kayla also shared a collection of photos from the New Year’s festivities and gushed about longtime beau Kelce, 32, in her Instagram caption.
“You’re all the reason I need to celebrate the new year Mr. Kelce,” Kayla swooned of the seven-time Pro Bowler, whom she has been linked to since 2017.
Kayla even played bartender during the Chiefs’ celebrations, as documented by Sydni, with the duo wishing their Instagram followers a “Happy New Year.”
Sydni, who is currently engaged to Mathieu, 29, also shared an intimate moment with her future husband.
“You never know what the new year will bring, life has shown itself to be very unpredictable. I just know if I have you, it’s the way it should be,” Sydni wrote Saturday on Instagram, to which Mathieu replied, “My favorite person! Forever indebted to you! You are my best friend, you know all of me! The good and the not so good! I appreciate your love, you know I need it! I pray for you first thing every morning! I know GOD got us!”
The Chiefs, who are currently riding an eight-game winning streak, have since clinched the AFC West for the sixth straight year. They will face the Bengals in Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon.
