Chie Filomeno is joining the cast of the upcoming dark comedy film “A Very Good Girl,” which stars Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly de Leon.

Filomeno made the confirmation last Tuesday, June 13, by quoting one @ALTStarMagic’s tweet, which reported that the actress will be joining Bernardo and de Leon in the film.

Seasoned actress Angel Aquino is reportedly part of the movie’s cast as well, although she has yet to confirm the reports.

“Naalala ko nu’ng nag tweet ako about this movie, dahil grabe yung mga bida at production. Sobrang talented na mga actress, napaka husay sa larangan na ginagawa nila,” Filomeno’s tweet read.

(I remember when I tweeted about this movie because the leads and production were really good — super talented actresses who are amazing in what they do.)

The actress then expressed her excitement to be part of Bernardo’s milestone, saying she’s excited to work with de Leon and Aquino as well.

“Na alam ko ‘A Very Good Girl’ is going to be another blockbuster movie of Kath. I was so happy for her because DESERVE! Now I am a part of [her] milestone [black heart emoji] so happy to be a part of this movie! Tapos with Ms Dolly and Ms Angel paaaaa,” she said.

Bernardo and Filomeno first worked together in the 2013 teleserye “Got to Believe.”

“A Very Good Girl” was first unveiled at the actress’ “New Movie Alert” press launch last March, which happened to take place a day after her 27th birthday. Glimpses of the Petersen Vargas-helmed film’s production was shared by Star Cinema in May 2023.

Bernardo will also star in the upcoming film “Elena 1944” and a reunion project with her real-life boyfriend, actor-singer Daniel Padilla.

Meanwhile, Filomeno appeared in the films “Missed Connections,” “Princess Dayareese,” and “Allergy in Love.” EDV
