Chhattisgarh Police Recruitment 2023: Application for 6,000 Constable posts begins on Oct 20 at cgpolice.gov.in – Times of India

Chhattisgarh Police has announced a recruitment drive for over 6000 constable positions within the state. The application process for Chhattisgarh Police Constable recruitment is set to commence on October 20, 2023. These recruitments are being conducted for the posts of Constable GD, Constable Driver, and Constable Trade (such as Dhobi, Kul, Cobbler, etc.).
There are over 5000 vacancies for Constable GD. This recruitment is exclusively open to local residents of Chhattisgarh state. Eligibility criteria include a 10th-grade education from a Chhattisgarh/Madhya Pradesh-based school. Scheduled Tribe candidates who have completed 8th grade and individuals from Naxal-affected families or relief camps in such areas who have passed 5th grade are also eligible. For the position of Constable (Driver), a heavy vehicle driving license is required, and proficiency in the relevant trade is necessary for Constable (Trade).
The age limit for applicants is 18 to 28 years, with a relaxation of up to 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or Other Backward Class (non-creamy layer). Male candidates must have a minimum height of 168 cm, while females must have a minimum height of 158 cm. Male candidates should also have a chest size of at least 81 cm with an expansion of 86 cm.
The pay scale for these positions falls under Matrix Level 4, with an initial monthly salary of Rs. 19,500. The selection process includes a Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency Test, and Written Examination.
Document verification, physical measurement, physical efficiency tests (including runs, jumps, and shot put), a written test (covering general knowledge, intelligence ability, analytical ability, and arithmetic), and a Trade Test will be conducted for Constable GD candidates.
Application fees are Rs 200 for General and OBC candidates and Rs 125 for SC and ST candidates. The recruitment is being conducted across various districts and units, with a total of 5967 posts available.
