Chhattisgarh: 60 teachers honoured on Teachers’ Day – Times of India
Raipur: A total of 60 teachers were honoured during a function orgaised at the Raj Bhawan in Raipur on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on Monday for their outstanding contribution to the academic growth of children.
While 56 teachers were conferred state-level awards, four were honoured with awards established in memory of great litterateurs of the state.
Governor Anusuiya Uikey and chief minister Bhupesh Baghel honoured the teachers. School education minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam was also present on the occasion.
The teachers honoured with the memorial awards are Netram Naktode with Dr Mukutdhar Pandey Memorial Award for educating inmates in Raipur jail, teacher Meera Archi Chauhan from Kanker was honoured with Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh Memorial Puraskar, teacher Rakesh Tandon from Korba with Dr Baldev Prasad Mishra Memorial Award and Hemant Kumar Khute from Mahasamund was honoured with Dr Padumalal Punnalal Bakshi Memorial Award.
State-level awards given to Nandini Prabha Bajpai, Ramprasad Netam, Manoj Kumar Bangde, Ranjeeta Nag, Purnima Saroj, Madhuri Kushwaha, T Vijay Lakshmi, Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Madhu Tiwari, Rajesh Pandey, Lambadi Dhananjay and Mohan Lal Nishad of Bastar division.
Teachers from Durg division who received state-level awards are Bhupeshwarnath Yogi, Raghunandan Gangboir, Basant Kumar Yadav, Indira Chandravanshi, Pragya Singh, Rashmi Namdev, Tulsaram Chandrakar, Manharan Lal Turkele, Vinkesh Kumar Yadav and Anand Kumar Tamrakar. Teachers from Raipur division who received state-level awards are Bhojraj, Khemraj Sahu, Kamalkishore Tamrakar, Bhagchand Chaturvedi, Dr Meena Sharma, Sunil Nayak, Manjusha Sahu, Chhagan Lal Sahu, Mahettar Lal Dewangan and Jantilal Kurre.
Teachers from Bilaspur division who received awards are Kunj Kishore, Archana Sharma, Swati Pandey, Bharat Lal Sahu, Ashish Rangari, Rashmi Verma, Jyoti Pandey, Baldau Singh Kashyap, Jagdish Adile, Gopal Das Gupta, Nohar Chandra, Birbhadra Singh Paikra, Pratibha Yadav and Pushpendra Kumar Kashyap.
Teachers from the Surguja division who received state-level awards are Subhash Chandra Verma, Damrudhar Sunar, Chaitnarayan Kashyap, Veerangana Srivastava, Meena Rajwade, Merajuddin Khan, Anita Tiwari, Deeplata Deshmukh, Arvind Kumar Gupta and Yudhan Prasad Jaiswal.
Addressing the teachers, the Governor said that the development of human resources is of utmost priority which is possible only with knowledge.
