Chelsea ‘willing to meet Inter demands’ in major Romelu Lukaku transfer breakthrough
Chelsea are prepared to shell out a transfer fee of £93.25million in order to bring Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge this summer, according to reports. The 28-year-old is believed to be high on Thomas Tuchel’s list of targets as the German boss eyes the addition of a top-class striker ahead of the new Premier League season.
Lukaku has established himself as one of the world’s best marksmen since joining Inter from Manchester United back in 2019.
He scored 30 goals last season in all competitions to help the San Siro giants clinch their first Serie A title in a decade.
The Belgian has been widely tipped to rejoin Chelsea this summer, with the newly-crowned European champiojns reportedly seeing the offer of a player-plus-cash deal rejected by Inter last month.
However, it seems as though a move to west London could soon be on the cards, with Chelsea now prepared to pay a straight fee of £93.25m, according to Sky Sports.
The report claims that no Blues players will be included in the bid as a result of Inter’s preference for a cash-only deal.
