Chelsea have four players Barcelona may accept in Antoine Griezmann swap deal

While Chelsea would like to sign Erling Haaland, Harry Kane or Romelu Lukaku the noises around Antoine Griezmann are starting to gather pace. Last week, it was reported the France international was going to be offered to the Blues. And, since then, Sport have suggested he’s certainly an option for the west London side.

Chelsea currently have three names ahead of Griezmann in their transfer shortlist.

Haaland is their top target but, with Borussia Dortmund in no mood to sell, he’s expected to stay at the Westfalenstadion.

Then there’s Lukaku. Another player Chelsea want but Inter Milan, like Dortmund, are adamant their prized asset isn’t available for any price.

Kane, of course, is also being eyed by Thomas Tuchel. Yet Tottenham don’t want to lose him, especially to a Premier League rival.

So, with that the case, Griezmann is being linked.

And with Barcelona keen on swap deals this summer, Express Sport will now take a look at four players who could be involved in a potential arrangement.

Hakim Ziyech

Another player Chelsea are open to offloading this summer is Hakim Ziyech.

Signed from Ajax 12 months ago, the Blues expected big things from the Morocco international upon joining.

But while Ziyech showed glimpses of his best form, he failed to achieve consistency.

Former Ajax players have a tendency to end up at Barcelona, even if they play for clubs in between.

And it’s possible Ziyech will be included should Chelsea press the green light on a deal for Griezmann this summer.

Kurt Zouma

There’s been talk of a potential departure for Kurt Zouma this summer, despite the centre-back doing well for Chelsea last season.

And he’s another who could satisfy Barcelona if included in a potential swap.

The Catalan giants know Gerard Pique is entering the twilight years of his career.

And while Ronald Koeman has used Frenkie de Jong as a centre-back, it’s midfield where his future truly lies.

So bringing in Zouma could be a good way of solving two problems in one swoop, especially if Chelsea are open to him leaving the club.

Tammy Abraham

While Chelsea have already lost Olivier Giroud, they’re also open to selling Tammy Abraham this summer.

And, given the fact Barcelona require more strength in depth, the England international could be a good solution.

Abraham has blown hot and cold throughout his Chelsea career but, when the confidence is flowing, is a good asset to have.

He might not like the idea of playing second fiddle to anybody.

But the chance to join Barcelona will still undoubtedly appeal regardless, and it could be a smart move given the lack of striker options the La Liga titans currently have.
