Cheapest summer destination in the Canaries named
While the Canary Islands are often thought of as a winter destination, the islands are equally stunning during the summer. The expert team at Home2Go shared the cheapest spots on the Spanish islands exclusively with Express.co.uk.

The cheapest area to stay in the Canary Islands is Valle Gran Rey on the small island of La Gomera.
According to Home2Go’s data, the average price of a holiday rental in the area is £69.47 per night during summer.
Valle Gran Rey is a quieter destination away from some of the tourist hotspots on the other islands. The area is home to some gorgeous beaches, including Playa del Ingles, a popular sunset watching spot.
A tourist ‘spark0906’ wrote on Tripadvisor: “Drove here in our hire car from Playa Santiago and spent a few hours in this pleasant, laid-back place. The drive here is truly spectacular with various viewpoints looking down the valley to the coast.”
According to Home2Go, the average nightly price of a holiday rental in Tazacorte is just £71.23.
A tourist wrote on Tripadvisor: “One of those places you keep coming back to. Laid back, food, sea and views without the touristy hassle.”
La Pared in Fuerteventura was named the third cheapest destination in the Canary Islands. The small town is popular with surfers.
The average price of a summer rental in La Pared was just £83.54 per night, making it an ideal spot for British tourists on a budget.
The cheapest destination in Tenerife was El Medano where rentals cost an average of £87.50 per night. The resort is popular with Spanish tourists, surfers and couples.
A tourist ‘Jesper A’ wrote on Tripadvisor: “A fantastic place. The town is visited by many surfers. The beach is also very good for swimming.”
Budget flights to the Canary Islands are available from many of the UK’s major airports.
Tourists travelling to La Gomera will need to catch another flight from Tenerife or Gran Canaria or take the boat from Tenerife.
