Charlize Theron Officially Introduces Clea From Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Mid-Credit Scene

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opened to huge fervour from the MCU fandom, as Benedict Cumberbatch and crew delivered on a much-awaited sequel.

With Sam Raimi from the original Spider-Man trilogy at the helm, the film has already grossed over $450 million, which has made it one of Marvel’s best-performing movies so far.

The movie saw a plot that revolved around Cumberbatch’s sorcerer and Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, who was last seen in the Disney+ Marvel show, WandaVision.

The movie saw a ton of cameos, which included the likes of John Krasinski and Sir Patrick Stewart, who played Earth-838 variants of Reed Richards and Charles Xavier, respectively. The two were a part of the Illuminati alongside Captain Marvel, Black Bolt, Mordo and Captain Carter.

However, the biggest cameo of them all came during the mid-credits scene, when South African actress Charlize Theron jumped to Earth 616 Clea the Sorceress, who was there to meet Doctor Strange.

Following the movie’s release, the actress shared her look through an Instagram post, and fans are quite excited about the addition of the Oscar-winning actress in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In the comics, Clea played as the love interest to Doctor Strange, and she also has links to characters like Dormammu, who appeared in the first Doctor Strange movie, which released in 2016. With roots from a different universe, the character has even assumed the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme, and it will be interesting to see how the character will be paired alongside Cumberbatch’s sorcerer.

As of right now, it seems like Theron will reprise her role in the next installment of the Doctor Strange franchise. However, there’s a very good chance that she might appear in other MCU projects before, and fans can’t wait to see what she has in store for them.
