Champions League ball thief wins internet
They start their pitch invaders young in the UK as a kid went viral after he took the match ball after a key Champions League clash.
A pair of kids have put themselves in the pitch invader hall off fame with a brazen effort at the end of this week’s Champions League clash between Liverpool and Porto FC.
Liverpool claimed a 2-0 victory to claim a fifth win in five games as Thiago Alcantara ended a goal drought stretching back to May with a belter of a goal.

But while the home fans were happy to claim another Champions League win, two young fans snagged the match ball and a viral video after full-time.
At the end of the game, the two boys ran onto the pitch and Liverpool defender Andy Robertson handed one of the youngsters the game ball and the race to the stands began.
While the players were nonplussed about the boys presence on the field, two security guards made chase as both boys leapt back into the stands.
But a Tik Tok user was in just the right position, taking a video from the perfect angle as the boy with the ball made a close escape.
Throwing the ball to a fan in the stands, he vaulted the signage before collecting the ball as the Liverpool fans helped him evade the officials as he disappeared into the crowd.
While some fans criticised the video and the child for stealing the ball, plenty of others had their hearts warmed by the scenes.
Former NBA star Rex Chapman shared the video with the caption: “And a legend was born…”
The video shared on Tik Tok by user chahal.dx to the song We are the Champions by Queen has 4.8 million views and another 3.8 million views on Twitter.
Pitch invaders have become somewhat of an epidemic in recent months, headlined particularly by serial pest Jarvo, who has joined in during the anthems of several matches covering several sports, including post recently for the Japanese team against Ireland.
He also lined up in All Blacks colours and Indian cricket whites in the past.
But he’s far from the only one.
In Australia, the 2020 Grand Final was interrupted by invaders
as well as the 2020 Origin III and even the Burnie Gift.
Pitch invasions can also be sweet as well after a German star Kai Havertz gave a young fan his jersey after the kid onto the field earlier this month.
