Carnage is tearing his way through Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Moon Knight, and a host of other Marvel heroes in a brand new variant cover series.
Carnage is about to take over the Marvel Universe in a series of variant covers celebrating the serial killer symbiote’s 30th anniversary.
Marvel Comics is releasing an all-new series of variant covers featuring the infamous Carnage symbiote sporting over a dozen different fan-favorite heroes as its latest hosts. Beginning in March and continuing throughout the entire month, all-star artists including Mike Allred, Leinil Francis Yu, and Peach Momoko will bring Marvel’s most lethal symbiote to life on the covers of 23 different titles, including a twisted version of Doctor Strange.
Although Cletus Kasady has been Carnage’s most iconic host since its introduction, the upcoming Carnage Forever variant series will see some of Marvel’s greatest heroes forming their own bonds with the symbiote. While these covers, on the surface, are just an homage to one of Marvel’s most famous villains, the series’ release date aptly coincides with the March 2 release of Carnage #1 by writer Ram V and artist Francesco Manna, which will see the titular villain seeking out a new host. Carnage has already bonded with heroes such as Ben Reilly and Eddie Brock in the past, and the Carnage Forever variants are poised to continue that trend in terrifying fashion.
The five covers are only a small part of what’s coming in Carnage Forever. Fans can expect further variant covers to be revealed as the month-long celebration of Carnage’s 30th anniversary unfolds.
