Inspired by a run-a-ball knock by comeback man Mitchell Marsh, the Australians made 268 all out on the first day of the third Ashes Test.
Marsh blasted 118 runs after being selected for his first Test since September 2019, filling in for an injured Cameron Green.
The English are 3-68 at stumps on day one, with Joe Root on 19 and Jonny Bairstow one.

Wood stuns Aussies with blistering spell
England quick Mark Wood produced a lightning-quick spell on the first morning of the Headingley Test.
The right-arm speed demon regularly exceeded 150km/h, and even hit 156km/h, in a four-over spell.
Overall, he took 5-34 from 11.4 overs.

When Alex Carey walked out to bat after the controversy of Lord’s, he was suffocated by boos at Headingley.
Carey is hated by the English after he stumped Jonny Bairstow in polarising fashion on the final day of the Lord’s Test, which Australia won by 43 runs.
The overwhelming view out of England is that Carey’s act was against the spirit of cricket.
