Candy Pangilinan is filled with gratitude as she credited the people who supported Quentin, her son diagnosed with autism, in his journey of finishing junior high school.

The actress-comedian mentioned all that have been part of Quentin’s milestone including their family, his therapists and doctor, as well as their house helpers, in a gratitude post on Pangilinan’s Instagram page yesterday, June 29.

“Ang daming dapat pasalamatan pati mga guards na pinagbigyan kami sa pagwawala ni Quentin (There are a lot of people we should thank, even the school guards who assisted us when Quentin was having his episodes),” she said. “To everyone we have encountered in one way or another, salamat (thank you).”

Pangilinan also addressed her son and thanked him for the life lessons she learned from him. She then concluded her post by sharing how Quentin was so “enthusiastic” during the ceremony, being the reason why the barong he wore had a “slit.”

“Next level na po tayo (We are now on the next level). The journey continues,” she stated. “Quentin [has] taught me more than I have taught him. Thank you Quentin. Congratulations!”

Fellow celebrities who congratulated the mother and son include Janice de Belen, Carmina Villarroel and Nikki Valdez.

Pangilinan is a single mother to Quentin. In May last year, Pangilinan opened up about her failed marriage and recalled how her then-husband left her a month after giving birth. Although she struggled with the said marriage, Pangilinan believed that it was a “blessing” as it prepared her to attend to Quentin’s special needs. JB
