Call of Duty Next: How to watch the showcase on upcoming games

CALL of Duty Next is a showcase by publisher Activision, featuring all the information about upcoming Call of Duty games.

Following on from Microsoft’s $69billion (£60billion) bid for the company, the future of the series is uncertain.

Xbox claims that Call of Duty will remain across all platforms, while Sony says Xbox wants to make the series exclusive.

CEO of Sony, Jim Ryan, claims that Xbox has said it will turn the series exclusive just three years after the three games currently in development are released.

This includes Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and the upcoming sequel to Warzone.

While Xbox denies this, we can hopefully hear more about Call of Duty’s future plans in the Call of Duty Next showcase.

What can we expect to see in Call of Duty Next?

Those who wish to access the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer beta will get the chance to do so from next weekend.

Despite the dates for the early access being announced, we don’t know too much about the gameplay yet.

More details about the multiplayer will be shown during the stream.

An NFL player leaked some images from what was assumed to be the new multiplayer.

A new mode was spotted, called DMZ mode, which is apparently from the ‘extraction shooter’ genre, which houses games such as Hunt: Showdown and Escape from Tarkov.

Hopefully, we will find out more about this during the live show.

The free-to-play follow up to Warzone — the battle royale Call of Duty — will also be shown.

While Modern Warfare will release on October 27, the new Warzone is expected to drop this November.
