He told cops he was going fast because he was “just tired of driving”.

His £207,000 Ferrari 488 Spyder was stopped on the M1 in North London in October last year, a court heard.

He admitted speeding and illegally altering the plate by having the letters too close to each other and effectively spelled “thick”.

No reason was given for the car reg adjustment.

Perez – who sells static caravans and was said to drive 60,000 miles a year — was spared a driving ban in 2020 after arguing it would cause exceptional hardship.

This time Perez, of Lytham St Annes, Lancs, was banned for three months and fined a total of £1,521 by Preston magistrates.

After the hearing, Jack Cousens, head of roads policy for the AA, said:

“Speed kills and for someone to tot up so many points suggests they don’t really care about their own safety or the safety of other road users.”
