‘Buckle up’: Ricciardo set for fresh F1 debut
Daniel Ricciardo is set to make his F1 debut of a different kind later in the season.
The Red Bull reserve driver has been hired by ESPN to be a part of their commentary team for the remaining North American races this season.
Starting at next weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix, Ricciardo will host ‘The Grandstand’ with comedian Will Arnett.

He will also present the show at the US Grand Prix in Austin, followed by the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
“This is going to be a hoot,” Ricciardo said.
“As you’d expect, Will and I are going to have some fun with the show, but we’re hoping it just feels like you’re watching F1 with your mates.
“We will have some amazing guests, plenty of laughs and with some luck, bring fans another step closer to the sport I love so much. Buckle up America!”
It’s unclear if the program will be broadcast in Australia.
Ricciardo has revealed his break from the sport has left him re-energised as he battles for a spot back in the top echelon of world motorsport.
The West-Aussie is set to drive an F1 car for the first time since last season’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix when he completes a tyre test following the British Grand Prix next month.
The Canadian Grand Prix will be held around the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on the lle Notre-Dame in Montreal on Monday morning week (AEST).
