MANILA -With Malacañang suspending work in government offices today, July 24, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas advises banks and their clients that certain services are also suspended.
These include the processing of currency-related transactions; PhilPaSSplus; trading of dollar/peso and monetary operations.
Among transactions settled through PhilPassplus are the clearing results for checks, automated teller machine (ATM) transactions, digital payments, and other types of retail payments.
In a separate advisory, EastWest Bank said the Philippine Clearing House Corp. has issued a memo stating that since PhilPassplus services are suspended, PCHC will also suspend its clearing operations for the day.
