Broncos’ swipe at Dolphins ‘rivalry’ after win
The Brisbane Broncos have sent an ominous warning to the Dolphins and the rest of the NRL after disposing of the Dragons with a frightening eight-minute blitz.
After coming into the match with two wins from two, the Broncos looked like they might be upset at Suncorp Stadium before running out 40-18 winners.
Kevin Walters’ side piled on four tries inside eight minutes, turning an 18-all scoreline in the 70th minute into a 22-point lead at full time.

The win sets up an epic first match-up against the Dolphins, who will also come into the Brisbane grudge match boasting a perfect 3-0 record this season.
Walters took a thinly veiled shot at the NRL newbies, downplaying talk of a massive rivalry between the two teams.
“I guess that’s why the Dolphins were put in Brisbane, to create that rivalry,” he said.
“We’re not ‘rivals of the Dolphins’, we’re the Broncos, that’s our club, that’s who we are.
“That’s where our mindset is, we’re the Broncos.
