Broad’s swipe at Aussies after Bairstow stumping
Australia has taken a 2-0 lead in the Ashes series after a day five for the ages at Lord’s in the second Test.
The tourists emerged 43-run winners but had to survive an epic innings of 155 from England captain Ben Stokes, who threatened to pull off a heist for the ages.
However, the task proved too tall for England, which finds itself needing to win all three of the remaining Tests to reclaim the Ashes urn.

Broad’s swipe after Bairstow drama
England veteran Stuart Broad was left fuming after seeing teammate Jonny Bairstow controversially stumped early on day five.
Broad came out of the rooms chirping and even told Aussie keeper Alex Carey he would “always be remembered for” his stumping.
The 36-year-old continually ensured that the ball was considered dead by Carey and the Aussies in the aftermath of the Bairstow dismissal, prompting wild cheers from the English fans inside Lord’s.

Stokes explosion leads to century
Ben Stokes’ incredible knock was filled with some brilliant strokeplay, but the most incredible part of the innings was the way he got to his century.
Stokes pounded Cameron Green for a boundary and three consecutive sixes to bring up the three figures in a scintillating stretch of play prior to lunch.
Green was left with no answers as the England captain continually heaved him into the stands, taking aim at the short boundary on the leg side.

Aussies involved in Long Room drama
There were incredible scenes inside the iconic Lord’s Long Room as the players headed into the rooms for the lunch break.
The locals, still fuming after Bairstow’s dismissal, began hurling abuse at the Australian players as they walked up towards their rooms.
Usman Khawaja and David Warner took offence to what was being said and faced off with the members before being separated by security in wild scenes.
