Britney has not shied away from sharing her feelings towards her family, after her 13-year conservatorship finally ended last year, particularly in regards to her father Jamie, who reportedly earned $16,000 (£13,000) per month as her conservator.
In January, 41-year-old Britney put members on blast for participating in a TV interview that Jamie Lynn gave about the new memoir and neither her parents or her siblings were in attendance at her wedding to Sam Asghari earlier this year.
In August Lynn reached out to her daughter for a ‘private chat’, saying she felt ‘hopeless’ by the situation.
Well, her message appears to have reached Britney.
In a shot of herself purportedly in Mexico, Britney was seen seemingly topless as she shared a caption that reached out to Lynn, while also hitting out at Instagram’s censorship rules.
She wrote: ‘Instagram doesn’t like posts of people revealing their bodies anymore so here’s a selfie of me in Mexico ???????? !!!
‘Mom and Dad … I crossed the border and I made it !!! After no coffee for 15 years ☕️ …
‘Mom we can go have coffee together now !!! I’m treated as an equal … let’s have coffee and talk about it !!!’
Previously, in an emotional message on Instagram, Lynne – who has been estranged from her pop star daughter for years – wrote: ‘Britney, your whole life I have tried my best to support your dreams and wishes and also, I have tried my best to help you out of hardships.
‘I have never and will never turn my back on you. Your rejections to the countless times I have flown out and calls make me feel hopeless.
‘I have tried everything.’
She concluded her talk with an appeal, writing: ‘I love you so much, but this talk is for you and me only, eye to eye, in private.’
