British holidays could be hit as popular destinations introduce vaccine expiry dates
The UK is currently not offering booster jabs for under 50s so British tourists could find they are unable to travel. But which countries have put expiry dates on Covid vaccinations?
Austria was also one of the first countries to put an expiration date on Covid vaccinations this summer.
Initially the vaccine status was set to expire after a period of 270 days which is around nine months.
However, just like Croatia, Austria has now extended the expiration date to a year after vaccination.
Switzerland opened to foreign travellers in September but vaccinated tourists’ status will expire after one year.

Vietnam is yet to reopen to foreign travellers but will start with the paradise island of Phu Quoc in November.
However, tourists will need to have been vaccinated at least two weeks before and their vaccine status will expire after one year.
Although Israel has not put an expiration date on vaccinations to enter the country, it has an expiry date for vaccine passports.
People will need to have been vaccinated within six months to qualify for the health passport to enter indoor venues.
Tourists will still be able to visit Croatia and Austria after their vaccination status has expired but they will need to show a negative Covid test on entry.
Proof of a recent recovery will also qualify British tourists to enter Croatia and Austria if their vaccination certificate has expired.
British travellers are advised to check the latest travel restrictions on the UK Government website before leaving.
Regulations can change rapidly and local restrictions on facemasks, vaccinations and health passports can differ.
