Britain’s CHEAPEST car brand is getting a posh new look – but its prices aren’t

DACIA is famous for selling some of Britain’s cheapest new cars, but buyers are about to get more for their money.

After a new look for its branding and dealerships within the last year, every Dacia model sold from 16th June 2022 will get this sleek new look.

Deliveries of the new-looks cars are expected to start in the final quarter to 2022, including its Duster SUV, Sandero and Sandero Stepway small cars and Jogger MPV.

The facelift centres around a revised grille designed and new badge that are both distinctly more modern.

Dacia said: “Like the links of a chain, the interlocking ‘D’ and ‘C’ contribute to a brand-new emblem that reflects the robust simplicity
of the new design.

“The Dacia Link is a readily recognisable brand image, which is easily identifiable when viewed up close or from afar.

“The emblem also features on the centre of each wheel.”

Other changes include the addition of the logo on the rear panel and steering wheel of all its models.

There’s also a Monolith Grey finish on the roof rails, the front and rear skid plates, and the side-view mirrors on the Sandero Stepway and Duster.

But buyers don’t need to worry about Dacia’s keen prices going up as part of this fancy new look.

The Sandero still starts from £13,595, the Duster from £14,845 and the Jogger from £16,645.

Lionel Jaillet, Dacia product performance director said: “Our teams have worked fantastically together to roll out the brand’s new identiy across the full Dacia range.

“Thanks to input from all business lines, Dacia now has a brand new
skin but still the same DNA. This change is an opportunity to show that our way of doing automotive can still be as essential as it is appealing.”

Dacia still hasn’t confirmed when its electric small SUV the Spring will be coming to the UK.

If and when it does, it’ll be among the cheapest EVs on sale and could really help get more people to make the switch to electric motoring here in Britain.
