“This is having an impact at M60 J24 Denton Island Slips. Please avoid the area if possible.”
The closure is causing slow traffic between Denton Island and Wellington Street, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring system. Inrix says the smash was first reported at around 1.50pm this afternoon.
There is also heavy traffic reported in the Dane Bank area of Denton following the crash. Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service have all been approached for comment.
