Brahmastra song Deva Deva: Ranbir Kapoor plays with fire in Arijit Singh’s track

A new song from Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is out. Titled Deva Deva, the film’s track sees Ranbir’s character Shiva learning how to use her powers with some help from Amitabh Bachchan’s Guru Arvind. Sung by Arijit Singh, the song is the second soundtrack from the film.

In Deva Deva, Ranbir Kapoor‘s Shiva learns about his relationship with fire and finds out that he himself is one of the Astras. The music video sees him using his powers in the woods as he begins to control them. It also gives us a look at Alia Bhatt’s Isha. It ends with Shiva mastering the use of fire and projecting a giant bird.

Deva Deva arrives after the release of Kesariya, the film’s first track which was criticised for its “love storiya” line. Brahmastra which also features Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mouni Roy and more arrives on September 9 this year in theatres.

The upcoming film’s synopsis reads – Brahmastra- The Trilogy, is a 3-part film franchise and the beginning of India’s first original universe – the Astraverse. It is a new original cinematic universe inspired by deeply rooted concepts and tales in Indian mythology but set in the modern world, with epic storytelling of fantasy, adventure, good vs evil, love and hope; all told using cutting-edge technology and never-seen-before visual spectacles.
