Brad Pitt has responded to allegations made by his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, who claimed the actor drunkenly attacked her and their children on a private jet six years ago.

The Oscar-winning actor has been embroiled in a bitter legal battle with the Tomb Raider actress since they announced the end of their marriage in 2016.

Pitt and Jolie are currently in a dispute over a French winery that the pair bought, with a new filing in the lawsuit featuring claims from the actress that her then-husband grabbed her by the head and injured her back and elbow, choked one of their children, and struck another.

A lawyer on behalf of Pitt has now responded to the allegations, saying in a statement: ‘Brad has owned everything he’s responsible for from day one — unlike the other side — but he’s not going to own anything he didn’t do.

‘He has been on the receiving end of every type of personal attack and misrepresentation.’

Anne Kiley, who is representing the actor, continued to Us Weekly: ‘Thankfully, the various public authorities the other side has tried to use against him over the past six years have made their own independent decisions.

‘Brad will continue to respond in court as he has consistently done.’

Referring to the alleged private plane incident on September 14, 2016, a new filing reportedly claims: ‘Pitt grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her, and then grabbed her shoulders and shook her again before pushing her into the bathroom wall.

‘Pitt then punched the ceiling of the plane numerous times, prompting Jolie to leave the bathroom.’

After one of the pair’s children came to Jolie’s defence, Pitt allegedly ‘lunged at his own child’ before Jolie ‘grabbed him from behind to stop him.’

The former spouses share six children; Maddox, 21, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, and 14-year-old twins Vivenne and Knox.

The legal filing continues: ‘To get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself backwards into the airplane’s seats injuring Jolie’s back and elbow.

‘The children rushed in and all bravely tried to protect each other. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face.’

The document also claims that Pitt yelled and swore at Jolie and the children, and poured beer on her and red wine on them.

It was previously revealed that the FBI were investigating the incident after an anonymous witness claimed he had ‘verbally and physically assaulted’ Jolie and their children.

However the investigation was dropped and the case closed as he was cleared of any wrongdoing, with Pitt denying all accusations at the time.
