This year, the Easter weekend will take place over April 7 (Good Friday), April 9 (Easter Sunday), and April 10, 2023 (Easter Monday).
Historically, some stores have taken to closing early over the Easter weekend.
So, if you’re looking to pick up some DIY supplies from shops like Homebase or Wickes, what are their open times over the Easter weekend?
Here is what you need to know.
When is B&Q open over Easter weekend?
B&Q across the UK will be open for its usual hours, opening at either 7am or 8am (depending on the store) till 8am on Good Friday, Saturday, and Easter Monday.
However, stores will be closed on Easter Sunday, with the exception of those in Scotland Scotland (9am – 6pm), the Republic of Ireland (10am – 6pm), and the Isle of Man (9am – 5pm).
Stores in Jersey are also due to close for the day on Good Friday.

When is ScrewFix open over Easter weekend?
If you’re a tradesperson looking to pick up some supplies over the Easter weekend, the good news is that Screwfix is open for most of the weekend.
ScrewFix stores are open from 7am to 8pm on Good Friday and 7am to 6pm on Saturday but closed on Easter Sunday (except for Scottish stores, which are open from 9am to 4pm).
On Easter Monday, stores will return from 7am to 8pm.

However, Bank holiday restrictions apply to the following stores:
- Nottingham Bullwell : 8am – 6pm
- Brentford: 9am – 4pm
- Clitheroe Barrow: 9am – 4pm

- Ilford: 10am – 4pm
- Hornchurch: 10am – 4pm
When is Homebase open over Easter weekend?
If you’re looking to do a little work in the garden over the bank holiday weekend, then Homebase is open at the following times;
England, Wales, and Northern Ireland are open from 8am to 8pm on Good Friday and Saturday but closed on Easter Sunday and open from 8am to 7pm on Easter Monday.
Stores in Scotland and the Republic of Ireland will follow the same opening hours but will also be open at regular hours on Easter Sunday.
When are Wickes open over Easter weekend?
Wickes advises using their online store checker to the latest opening hours for each of their stores over the easter weekend, as they will vary.
However, customers in England and Wales can visit from 7am to 8pm on Saturday, and Easter Monday, with shops closed on Easter Sunday.
Wickes stores in Scotland will also remain open throughout the weekend but will also be available from 9am until 6pm on Easter Sunday.
