Boy George threw shade at I’m A Celebrity months before signing up
Months before signing up to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, Boy George made a light-hearted sassy comment about the show following his performance on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. The 61-year-old had just finished singing his hit Karma Chameleon with Culture Club when a curious Dec asked him what the song was about.
He sassily replied: “It means I’ll never have to say I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ which caused the pair to laugh.
The comment was seemingly referring to the money he had earned from the hit, released in 1983.
“That’s a real shame for us George,” Ant replied.
Boy George went on to say: “Unless you do a vegan version and then I’m in.”

In 2016, The Culture Club star revealed he had turned down going on the show several times due to lack of food and strict campmate uniform.
At the time, he reportedly said: “There would be serious clothing restrictions in the jungle.
“I’d have to get certain hats made and I couldn’t get over the food. I would have a problem with that.”
Boy George will share the Australian jungle with fellow celebrities; Charlene White, Mike Tindall, Olivia Attwood, Scarlette Douglas, Babatunde Aleshe, Jill Scott, Owen Warner, Sue Cleaver and Chris Moyles.
