Boxing champion Nikhat Zareen wants Alia Bhatt to play her in a movie

Indian boxer Nikhat Zareen landed a historical win when she brought home the gold medal at the World Boxing Championships held in Turkey. She is only the fifth Indian woman to win the world championship. The sportswoman has been making headlines ever since. Fresh off her success, Zareen is rightly in the limelight and is being hailed by Indians everywhere. While she’s enjoying the accolades and congratulations pouring in, she has now revealed that she wants Alia Bhatt to play her in a movie. 

In a recent interview, Nikhat Zareen said that if a sports biopic movie is made about her life, she would want actress Alia Bhatt to portray her. She also said that she has dimples in common with the actress, explaining her choice. 

Alia Bhatt has a filmography full of versatile roles but she hasn’t played a non-fictional character before. The actress who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is attached to star in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Ranveer Singh. Will Alia Bhatt play Nikhat Zareen in a sports biopic? Only time will tell. 

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is currently filming for her first-ever Hollywood film Heart of Stone. The spy thriller backed by the Russo Brothers also features Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot and Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan.
