Bobby Davro revealed that his fiancee Vicky Wright has pancreatic cancer.

The 64-year-old comedian explained that he is trying to ‘smile through the absolute agony,’ after opening up about his partner’s ‘devastating’ diagnosis.

The TV personality popped the question last December after 12 years together and Vicky said at the time: ‘I’m on cloud nine.’

Speaking about Vicky’s heartbreaking diagnosis, Bobby said: ‘To see someone as beautiful as her with this illness is horrific. It’s so sad.

‘It’s extremely, extremely, extremely painful…’

He added: ‘My best advice for someone in a similar position is that laughter is the best medicine.

‘I always remember this quote, “Don’t let the world change your smile – get your smile to change the world.”‘

The former EastEnders actor also explained that he’s grateful he has work to distract him.

‘I don’t want the fact I’m keeping working to sound selfish. Everyone who knows me knows it’s just a distraction for a bit of time from trying to help Vicky. I need to see people laughing, and I like that I can still make people laugh while dealing with this,’ he said.

Following the proposal, it was reported that the soon-to-be newlyweds celebrated their happy news with friends and family at The Kings Arms in Surrey.

The celebration is said to have included messages from showbiz pals including Sir Cliff Richard, and Lee Mead.

Bobby has made it down the aisle before and was previously married to Trudi Jameson.

Before their marriage broke down in 2003, the former couple had three children together and were husband and wife for 10 years.

Amid the split from his ex-wife, the Eastenders alumnus revealed he had moved back into the family home with Trudi while beginning a new relationship with Vicky in 2015.

Bobby shot to fame in the 80s with his Saturday primetime TV shows including BOBBY Davro On The Box, and Bobby Davro’s TV Weekly.

He has gone on to star in Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Come Dine With Me.
