Bob Saget’s sweet text to daughter before sudden death
Aubrey Saget has shared a screenshot of the text message her famous dad sent her before he was found dead at the age of 65.
Bob Saget’s eldest daughter has paid tribute to her father after his sudden death by sharing a sweet text from him that appeared to show the comedian getting ready for an upcoming gig.
The actor’s 34-year-old daughter, Aubrey Saget, posted a screenshot of the message on her Instagram Story late Sunday — just hours after news of his death emerged.
“Thank u. Love u. Showtime!” Saget’s message to his daughter read.
Saget, 65, was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, after he performed his stand-up “I Don’t Do Negative Comedy Tour” on Saturday night.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the message Saget’s daughter shared was their final exchange.
Aubrey is the eldest of Saget’s three daughters from his first marriage to screenwriter and former lawyer Sharri Kramer, whom he divorced in 1997.
Saget married Kelly Rizzo in 2018.
In a statement in the wake of Saget’s death, Rizzo and his adult daughters — Aubrey, Lara, 32, and Jennifer, 29 — said they were “devastated.”
“He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter,” the Saget family said.
“Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”
Saget’s cause of death has yet to be revealed.
Florida’s Orange County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement it had found “no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”
