Black Widow India Release Date May Be Revealed Soon

After multiple delays, Marvel’s Black Widow has recently released in theaters and on Disney Plus Premier Access globally. However, the much-awaited MCU movie still hasn’t released in India as theaters in the country haven’t reopened due to Covid 19-related restrictions. Adding to that, Disney hasn’t launched Premier Access in India.

As reported by Gadgets 360, Black Widow might release in India via Disney Plus Hotstar on October 6. According to Gadgets 360, Black Widow will start streaming in India after it leaves the Premier Access window on October 6. That said, sources tell IGN India that no date has been set just yet, which makes sense when you consider neither Marvel nor Disney Plus Hotstar have announced a Black Widow India release date at the moment.

We have reached out to Disney Plus Hotstar for a comment on the Indian release of Black Widow. We will update this story if we get any information.

A theatrical release for Marvel’s Black Widow in India seems unlikely in October as Chloe Zhao’s Eternals is expected to release in late October. It’s currently unclear whether Black Widow will directly release on Disney Plus Hotstar Premium as the movie has set pandemic box office record by earning over $215 million globally. It wouldn’t make sense to avoid releasing Black Widow in Indian theaters with its record-breaking success, but the pandemic-related restrictions may prevent Marvel from doing so. Unlike other Disney Plus territories, India doesn’t have Premier Access either, which allowed the company to earn over $60 million from Black Widow. Hopefully, Marvel and Disney Plus Hotstar will officially announce details regarding Black Widow’s Indian release soon.
