Billy Connolly delights fans in rare sighting at Glasgow restaurant
Billy Connolly, 79, surprised fans after he was spotted inside Mediterraneo restaurant in Glasgow. The veteran comic, who currently resides in Florida, dined in the Italian restaurant as he returned home.
Following his visit, the eatery took to social media to share snaps of the star.
Taking to Facebook, the page expressed how the staff were clearly deeply starstruck by the surprise appearance.
Fans were quick to lap the post up as they shared their compliments for the legendary comedian.
Ellie Morren wrote: “My favourite comedian, he tells it like it is.”

The star will be making a comeback to the classroom in time for BBC’s e-learning service where he will inspire aspiring comedians.
On Instagram, he recently shared how he would teach “his unique approach to a lifetime of making people laugh.
“I’ll show you how you can make your own stand-up more windswept and interesting,” he added.
Billy, who is suffering from Parkinson’s disease, will join other creative figures who have had their own masterclass shows.
