BGT fans baffled by Amanda Holden’s outfit that ‘looks like a Aldi bags’

Amanda Holden came out in a Union Jack themed dress in an homage to Platinum Jubilee at the Britain’s Got Talent semi-final on Friday night. The 51-year-old showed off the blue, red and white dress which featured a huge bespoke train.

But BGT viewers had mixed views on the show-stopping dress. “Why is Amanda wearing a parachute? Is she expecting an ejector seat or something?” one person said. Another made a comparison to Amanda and a bird. They said: “Amanda luv are you trying to cosplay a peacock?”

Someone else compared it to Aldi plastic bags. They said: “That’s a lot of Aldi plastic bags Amanda!” But, other people were more complimentary, commenting on how stunning she looked. One person said: “Amanda is full on Barbie tonight” on social media.

The media personality was also snapped at Westminster Bridge, Trafalgar Square and by the Houses of Parliament.

During Friday’s show, eight semi-finalists will compete in the hope of making it through to the final on Sunday, including Cowell’s golden buzzer act Axel Blake, who impressed the judge during his audition with his quick wit.

He will go up against young school boy Aneeshwar Kunchala who won over hearts with his poetry about the environment as well as quick-change act Matricks Illusion.

A singing comedy duo, a group of Welsh musical theatre performers, a 36-piece dance crew and four young boys performing tricks on scooters will also compete for a spot in the final during the show.

Eight other acts have so far made it through to the show’s grand finale after being voted through in the previous semi-final shows this week.
