Beyoncé’s ‘RENAISSANCE’ album just dropped. Here’s how the Beyhive is reacting
It’s here.
Queen Bey’s “RENAISSANCE” album dropped midnight and fans are waking up to 16 brand new songs.
Beyoncé’s new album is already topping charts around the world on Apple Music and Spotify. With a top spot in numerous countries, Beyoncé’s songs are finding their top spot in the global charts on both platforms.
Last month, Beyoncé announced that she would be releasing a brand new album in July. Since then, the internet has been in a frenzy, waiting in anticipation for the new drop.
“RENAISSANCE” is Beyoncé’s first solo album since the groundbreaking “Lemonade” was released in 2016. She released “Everything Is Love,” a collaborative album with her husband Jay-Z in 2018, and “The Lion King: The Gift” movie soundtrack in 2019. That year, she also released “Homecoming,” a live album and concert film from her headlining Coachella set in 2018.

Moments after her album release, Beyoncé shared a heartfelt post that addressed the numerous reports of her album leaking two days before the official release. “So, the album leaked,” she wrote, “and you all actually waited until the proper release time so you all can enjoy it together … Thank you for being patient. We are going to take our time and enjoy the music.”
As stated in the album’s bio on Apple Music, “RENAISSANCE” was crafted during the pandemic, and her seventh solo album “is a celebration of freedom and a complete immersion into house and dance that serves as the perfect sound bed for themes of liberation, release, self-assuredness, and unfiltered confidence.”
As for the internet, fans around the world have already been sharing their reactions and, well, the posts speak for themselves:
