Beyoncé concert-goer upsets fans for plans to auction sunglasses star threw into

Upset Beyoncé fans, who are dubbed ‘The Beehive’ online, have swarmed a concert-goer for attempting to sell the star’s sunglasses at auction for £15,000 after he caught them when thrown into the crowd.

Global Valentino was lucky enough to grab the singer’s “Off-White designer frames” during Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour gig in London, reports The Daily Express US.

But soon after saving the sought-after souvenir, Valentino admitted online that he’s decided to sell up.

The 20-year-old has listed the glasses in an online auction, with a guide price between £10-15k, despite confessing the choice was a “difficult” one as they represent “the fondest memory” of his life so far.

Footage of the sunglasses exchange have since gone viral on TikTok, with fans gushing over Beyoncé’s kindness for her impromptu giveaway.

Since the announcement, hundreds are demanding he remove them from auction immediately arguing the item is in fact priceless, due to the novelty.

“It was a very difficult choice to make as a fan,” Valentino told the New York Post. He explained: “I’m a committed filmmaker who has chosen to auction the glasses to invest in my family and career.”

Valentino posted the £15k listing on Omega Auctions which he says has “previously auctioned some of the most expensive music memorabilia”.

Dan Hampson, auction manager, said: “We are entirely satisfied that the person who consigned them with us is the very same person who caught the sunglasses.

They describe the product as “a pair of Off-White sunglasses likely custom made 1/1.

“Worn onstage by Beyonce during her performance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London on May 29, 2023.”

The live auction begins on July 4 at 10am, and are expected to sell by 3pm.
